Chinese Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 100 g mushroom (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (Use half to marinate the chicken and the other half for the sauce.)
  • 2 teaspoon oyster sauce (One for marinating the chicken, another one for the sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine

Stepssimplified

  1. 1Mix 250 g chicken pieces (3–5 cm) with 0.5 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon rice wine, and 1 tablespoon cornstarch. Rest for 5–10 minutes.
  2. 2Combine 0.5 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon oyster sauce, and 1 teaspoon pepper powder in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. 3Heat 0.5 tablespoon oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken until lightly browned on both sides. Remove from pan.
  4. 4Boil water over medium heat. Cook 200 g broccoli until desired tenderness. Drain and set aside.
  5. 5Heat 1 tablespoon oil in the pan over medium heat. Sauté 3 finely chopped garlic cloves and 100 g sliced mushrooms until mushrooms soften.
  6. 6Add the chicken, broccoli, and reserved sauce to the pan. Stir-fry until fully combined.
  7. 7Cook until extra water evaporates. Add 1 tablespoon oil. Toss and sizzle until lightly browned.
